JEE Mains 2019 - Rank On Basis of Percentile

As the results of JEE Mains 2019 were out, students as well as parents were in confusion of what does this percentile means and whats the rank of the student. First of all around 9.5 lakhs students gave JEE Mains 2019 and so percentile is based upon this number.
Percentile in very simple language means how much % students are below me. Ex. if your percentile is 92 % then it means 92 students out of 100 are below you.

So as you all know your percentile now, you can easily predict your approx rank.

99.5 - 100 % = Rank under 5000
99 - 99.5 % = Rank between 5000 - 10000
98 - 99 % = Rank between 10000 - 20000 
97 - 98 % = Rank between 20000 - 30000
96 - 97 % = Rank between 30000 - 40000
95 - 96 % = Rank between 40000 - 50000
90 - 95 % = Rank between 50000 - 100000
80 - 90 % = Rank between 100000 - 200000
Below 80 % = Rank below 200000

Around 200000 students are eligible for JEE Advance 

So do comment your marks and approximate ranks and if any queries ask without hesitation.
